Roofers in
West London.

Slate and tile roofs, membranes and battens, lead flashing, dormers, gutters and the front elevation. Most leaks start at a flashing or a valley rather than across the whole roof, so that is where we look first.

02What we do up there

Repair where a repair will hold.

A slipped course, a failed flashing or a blocked valley is a repair, and it is usually the right answer. If the battens or the membrane underneath have gone, patching buys a season and nothing more — we will tell you which of the two you are looking at, with a photograph.

  • Slate and tile re-roofing, laid to gauge
  • Breathable membranes and treated battens
  • Lead flashing, valleys and soakers formed on site
  • Slipped, cracked and missing tile repairs
  • Dormers and roof windows
  • Gutters, fascias, soffits and downpipes
  • Render repair, masonry paint and front elevations
  • Leak tracing and make-safe

02Set out to gauge — Battens gauged along the roof so the courses land right at the ridge.
03The whole elevation

While the access is up.

Scaffold and tower hire is a real part of the cost of any work above head height. If the gutters, the render or the front elevation also need attention, doing them on the same visit is cheaper than paying for the access twice.

On a London terrace that usually means the roof, the parapet, the gutter line and the painted stucco all get looked at together, and you get one price for the lot.

04Where we workWest & Central London

Roofs across West London.

London terraces share the same weak points: the valley between two roof slopes, the flashing where a roof meets a party wall, and the parapet gutter behind the front elevation.

05Questions we get asked

Roofing, answered plainly.

Can you patch a roof, or does it need re-covering?

Both are jobs we do. Most leaks start at a flashing, a valley or a slipped course rather than across the whole roof, so a repair is often the right answer. If the battens or the membrane underneath have gone, patching only buys a season and we will say so.

Do you do lead work?

Yes — flashings, valleys and soakers formed and dressed on site.

Will you look at the gutters and the front elevation too?

Yes. Gutters, fascias, downpipes, render and masonry paint are part of the same visit, and it is usually cheaper to do them while the access is already up.

Can you give me a price over the phone?

A range, yes. A written price, no — not until we have seen the room. Send a photo and your postcode on WhatsApp and we will tell you the ballpark and whether it needs a visit. The itemised quote follows the visit.

Do you cover my postcode?
