The practical constraints here are logistics as much as construction. Streets are permit-controlled, so a skip or a delivery needs a bay suspension booked in advance; the houses are narrow, so material has to be staged rather than dumped; and lower-ground rooms mean tanking, drainage and pumped waste come up far more often than they do a few streets north.
